About Us
Ever since Great Grandfather John purchased his first plot of land back in the 1930s, farming has remained a family tradition. Three generations later, and still located in the southern lands of the Fraser Valley, Taves Family Farms continues to thrive. Only, now it's John's grandson, Loren Taves, who operates the farm along with his wife, Corinne, and their children.

We will be the first ones to tell you that living on a farm in the Fraser Valley is living the dream. One farm quickly grew to a few, and now we harvest everything from apples to heirloom tomatoes to pumpkins. We decided to share our gifts by creating an agritourism attraction called the Applebarn. Every September, our communities tell us that they eagerly wait for the doors to open so they can pick their own apples or bring their families out for some fall family entertainment!
Although we are not certified organic, we have chosen a sustainable method of agriculture called the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach, which uses the least harmful methods available to control continual attacks on our crops. At Taves Family Farms, we adhere to British Columbia and Canada's requirements when applying agricultural chemicals and take great precautions to protect the land, our customers, staff and family.
